came out after the fbi started investigating paula broadwell for allegedly sending emails to another woman jill kellily a friend of david petraeus family. curing the fbi investigation, agents uncovered thousands of pages of emails between jill kelley and general john allen. he is the man who took over for general petraeus as the top commander in afghanistan. and he has denied that he and jill kelley are having an affair. it's a tangled web no doubt. the president had more to say about the whole thing during his news conference today. ed henry is there and is with us tonight on fox top story. she is a family friend, ed, the president didn't completely rule out the idea that somebody may have leaked some classified information. >> that's right. good evening, shep. the bottom line is the president didn't want to touch any of the salacious details of this for obvious reasons. he didn't want to kick general petraeus while he is down. he made very clear that he thinks general petraeus has had a long career of very exemplary service and noted that how it is ending is obviously not the way a
